The new BMW 2 Series delivers great performance in any driving situation. It brings along various performance packages that add features like increased braking and drivetrain cooling, an M sport differential, and M sport brakes. It also offers several powertrain options, with the base engine being a turbo-four with 228 or 255 horsepower. The available engines include another turbo-four that produces 301 horsepower and a turbocharged six-cylinder with 382 horsepower. All engines are effective and come bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

You will still get good gas mileage ratings with whichever engine and drivetrain you choose. The standard engine records an EPA-estimated 35 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg in the city. The other optional powertrains register similar gas mileage ratings for each city and highway segment. Also, there is an 8-inch center display as standard and an available 10-inch touchscreen. Both touchscreens perform similar functions and are compatible with several apps, including Apple CarPlay, an in-dash navigation system, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The gesture control feature is only available on the 10-inch touchscreen. A 16-speaker stereo system and proximity keyless entry are other tech features you can consider.
